Almost two months into the new 2009-10 coffee harvest in Honduras no fresh beans have been registered as picking was falling behind schedule for a crop now considered to be "even slower" than expected, the Honduran Coffee Institute, or Ihcafe, said Friday.

Palm oil was offered $5 to $12.50 a tonne up from Thursday after Malaysian palm oil futures closed between 33 and 49 ringgit per tonne higher on good exports.

The USDA said on Friday private U.S. exporters had reported the sale of 734,000 tonnes of U.S. corn to Mexico. It said 458,750 tonnes were for delivery in the 2009/10 season that began Sept. 1 and the balance in the 2010/11 period. »
